FORMAT FILE

Reaction videos: allowed — with conditions you can check

Reaction is one of the few formats the policy names on the allowed side: reaction videos with commentary, and edited footage where you add a storyline and commentary. The rejections come from reactions where the source video does the work and the reactor decorates it.

Where this format gets rejected

• Long unbroken stretches of the source with pauses and facial reactions only — reviewers read that as repurposing.
• Commentary concentrated in an intro and outro, with silence through the middle.
• Full songs or episodes 'reacted to' end-to-end — the underlying content is the product being sold.

The fixes that move the score

• ✓ Comment continuously: pause, analyze, disagree, explain. Your voice should be the spine, not the garnish.
• ✓ Cut the source into segments your commentary needs — never the whole work in one unbroken run.
• ✓ Add your own structure: predictions, breakdowns, comparisons, a verdict the source alone could not give.
